Found in the western Himalayans eastward through Nepal, Sikkim, Darjeeling, the Khasia and Naga Hills of northeast India, Bhutan, Myanmar (Burma), and into northern Thailand and southwest China where they reported as occurring on trees or rocks in forests along ravines.
Fun plants produce several inflorescenses from each psudobulb just below the leaves. We find these to be excellent growers in moderate light and temperatures.
