This is one of the 28 species of the Section Lepidorhiza
and is native to the Indonesian Archipeligo..
Rarely seen in cultivation and native to the Indonesian archipelago this clone is the initial plant described into the records of the American Orchid Society. Three inch waxy maroon flowers with contrasting yellow columns are often born two or three per inflorescence and the pseudobulbs are very tightly grouped together, keeping the plant from wandering out of the the pot like many of the other Bulbophyllums. We are using this in our breeding program. Late spring blooming.
I will provide a newly cut division of 4 -6 pseudobulbs shipped bare root for you to pot up in the media of your choice. Bulbos are tough and ship bare root just fine. Grow in moderate light and temps and keep them watered.
