( Bulbophyllum Jersey x Bulbophyllum reticulatum). The award description reads : Two striking, flat, stellate flowers on one 19-cm inflorescence; sepals and petals pale yellow, dorsal sepal lanceolate striped and stippled maroon, lateral sepals falcate striped and stippled maroon, petals lanceolate striped maroon, blushed maroon centrally and proximally; lip articulate, yellow, overlaid orange, dotted maroon; column yellow-green, column foot stippled maroon, anther cap yellow; substance firm; texture glossy; actual parentage is Bulbophyllum Jersey 'Bryon' CCM/AOS 82 Pts x Bulbophyllum reticulatum 'Bryon' (Syn katherinae) ". The measurements of the flower were 12.6 cm by 19.0 cm. (4.9 inches wide by 7.5 inches long. We have used this extensively in our breeding program with excellent results. The mother plant bloomed for over three months and had a dozen flowers open at one point this past summer and is big enough to divided. Contact us if interested. I find bulbophyllums in general very easy to grow. Warm and wet seems to do the trick.
